National Philanthropy Day Virtual 2020 – Association of Fundraising Professionals’ (AFP) Nova Scotia Chapter – November 12
To kick off the Philanthropy Day events, you can check out National Philanthropy Day Virtual 2020 where the AFP President/CEO, Mike Geiger, will be giving an opening speech followed by guest speaker, Maureen Hackett, Co-Founder & President of the Hackett Family Foundation. After the closing statements, AFP chapters will break off and host their award sessions.

The virtual event is a National Philanthropy Day celebration of the good things that are made possible by those who give their time and money to enrich the lives of others.

The 10th Annual National Philanthropy Day Lunch and Awards Ceremony is being hosted at Evered Hall at the University of the Fraser Valley this year. Keynote speaker Angus Reid will provide an inspiring presentation on the importance of giving back, while guests enjoy a plated lunch. This year’s event will have limited tickets because of COVID-19 and will be live streamed on YouTube for larger audiences.
AFP’s Greater Toronto Chapter Philanthropy Awards – December 2
A few weeks after Philanthropy Day, the AFP Greater Toronto Area is celebrating Ontario’s philanthropic accomplishments with the AFP Greater Toronto Chapter Philanthropy Awards. This year’s awards will be hosted virtually to ensure the health and safety of all its community members.
